About Ratio Bar
After 12 months of research and development, Anti-Aging Essentials, Inc., parent company of RATIO Protein Bars, has launched a new line of sports nutrition bars which meets the company’s goal of “clean eating” in a high protein bar with low net carbohydrates.
The new RATIO bars, based on a high protein, low carbohydrate technology, are notable for what is missing. No artificial flavors or colors, no GMOs, no soy protein, no hormone protein, and no gluten. Any ingredient which did not qualify as “clean” was removed or replaced with a natural ingredient. The result is the only high protein, non-GMO, all natural coated bar on the market today. Ratio definitely put a lot of thought into their bars and the hormone free protein and non-GMO ingredients stand out. We hope more bar manufacturers will match this approach soon.
However, all 6 Ratio bars tasted kind of the same and it was difficult to tell what flavor you’re eating. We liked the crunchy bars (Cookie Crunch and Peanut Butter Banana and Cake Batter) a little better than the rest with Cake Batter being our favorite.
The least favorite was the Peanut Butter Cup, because the bar came out of the wrapper already melted and the chocolate was very messy. It was also the most gooey bar out of the 6 tested.
The Granola flavor looked nothing like the wrapper. The white coating was almost completely gone and the inside had a very dark instead of light color like on the wrapper’s product shot.
